UTSW Quality Improvement and Patient Safety in Healthcare

This is a video created by students at UT Southwestern Medical School for the Office of Quality, Safety, & Outcomes Education to explain and promote quality improvement and patient safety in healthcare.

We are Sachin Shah, Prakash Gajera, Roshni Patel, Jackie Byrd, and Lauren Rego-Cherian, and we are medical students working on our M.D.’s with Distinction in Quality Improvement. When we first started medical school, we didn’t know Quality Improvement was even a thing. However, as we learned more, we found just how important quality improvement is in healthcare. We created this video in an effort to explain what Quality Improvement is and the importance of quality improvement in improving patient outcomes and patient safety.

Please feel free to contact us at IHI.UTSW@gmail.com if you are interested in learning more about our organization, quality improvement at UTSW, or our quality improvement video.
